Why Therapy!

Why not therapy!!!  What do you do when you feel sick in your body, have a tooth ache or have pains in your neck and back?  Chances are you will seek professional help(doctor, dentist or chiropractor) because you realized proper healing requires proper treatment.   We all encounter life CHALLENGES as we walked this journey – call LIFE, and while you may have successful navigated through many of them, there is nothing wrong with seeking extra support when you need it.  Therapy can provide long-lasting benefits by providing the needed coping skills to manage triggers or to learn how to re-direct damaging patterns.

Therapy is more than sitting on a couch, it is a proven scientific tool designed to enhance personal insight, provide needed support and learn to implement new strategies for all types of issues.  It is a collaborative effort in which we work together to accomplish the agreed upon goals.  The effects of therapy is a unique and personal experience.  Additionally, to support your therapeutic process you may be required to do some things outside of the therapy sessions - such as journaling, reading relevant books or tracking your behaviors.  My hope is that you will implement the new skills into your daily life as evidence of your change.

Therapy can provide fresh perspectives on situations or point you in the direction of solution(s).  Lastly, a successful therapeutic experience is contingent upon your commitment, your participation, and your openness to implement what you've learned during our session.

Additional therapy benefits includes but not limited only to:

  • Attaining a better understanding of yourself, your goals and values
